Position Title: Software Programmer
Location: Brooklyn, New York

Job Description:
A NYC agency is searching for a Programmer who will manage the software design coding and implementation process.  They will be responsible for writing project specifications with IT and software related issues / services.

Skills Required :                
Candidates must have experience with the following:

• 2 years of experience with software design coding and implementation
• 2 years experience in developing and testing a real time system called Electronic Procurement and Contracts Tracking System (sPACTS)
• 2 years of experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access), .NET, SQL, C++, MS Visual, APS, JAVA.
• 2 years of experience in writing project specifications
• Excellent English language written and verbal communications are a must!

Skills Preferred:       
The following skills are desired, but not mandatory:

• Demonstrated experience in the design, development and use of procedure manuals, process documentation and policy analysis
• Working knowledge of various IT / Telecomm products and services
• Strong knowledge of capital/expense budget procedures
• Prior experience working for Governments (Federal, State or City) Social Service agencies in a complex IT environment
• Knowledge of NYC procurement process and rules

Education:                
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent diploma is required.
