Position Title: Helpdesk / Desktop Support Technician
Location: Manhattan, NY
Job Description:
A New Jersey hospital is searching for a strong Helpdesk Technician with a background in providing hardware, software and printer support. Support will be provided over the phone or in person depending on the nature of the call. The Helpdesk Tech will communicate effectively with users to determine and resolve common problems and requests in compliance with established service level agreements. Technician will undertake virtually any other task that may be necessary in order to create an outstanding environment for the growth of the hospital.
Skills
Required:
Candidates must have excellent communication skills to work with hospital employees and multiple vendors. Strong team player with a desire to learn from and a willingness to assist other team members. Ability to operate, install and perform diagnostics on pc hardware and software. Knowledge of the following: MS Office, Lotus Notes, Internet/Intranet, TCP/IP, hardware, Windows, remote access software, anti-virus programs, backup software, providing printer hardware support/maintenance, etc.
Experience with scanners is a plus!
IT certifications are not required, but preferred!
